Harry Fogliatti

    Harry T. Fogliatti, 70, of Nampa, died Sunday, March 24, 1991, in the Caldwell hospital.
    Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.  The Rev. Ray Thompson of the Caldwell United Methodist Church will officiate.  Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
    Mr. Fogliatti was born Sept. 8, 1920, at Lewellen, Neb., a son of John and Mary Fogliatti.  He attended schools in Lisco and Oshkosh, Neb., and entered military service in 1942.  He received an honorable discharge in 1943. and married Ruby Ester Morse Dec. 14, 1943, at North Platte, Neb.
    they farmed in the panhandle of Nebraska until 1947, when they left the hail storms and floods to move to the Homedale, Idaho, area to farm for his uncle, Abe Barberis.  He also farmed for Bob Macy before renting a farm in the Ridgeview area of Oregon.  In 1953 they moved to the Nampa area to a desert claim west of Nampa.  With the help of family and friends, he developed the land and "made the desert bloom" when he cleared the land of sagebrush and trash, and drilled the first deep water irrigation well on the new beautiful farmland.
    He was a member of Nampa Elks Lodge No. 1389.
    Survivors include his wife, Ruby of Nampa; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Jim Decime of Caldwell; a grandson, Jerry Decime of Boise; a sister, Gloria Babbit of Boise; a brother and sister-in-law, Ernie and Flo Fogliatti of Whittier, Calif.; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Barbara; and many beloved friends and relatives.
   The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Caldwell School Endowment Fund, 1101 Cleveland, Caldwell 83605; to a favorite charity; or flowers may be sent.
