Homer Humphrey, 89, of
Wilder, died Saturday, June 3, 1995, at his home. Graveside
services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, 1995, at
Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell. Don Hardenbrook,
Associate Pastor of Oregon Trail Church of God, Caldwell, will
officiate, under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel,
Caldwell.
Homer was born at Snyder, Texas, on March 31, 1906. He
moved to Idaho in 1936 where he farmed in the Huston area for
several years. He married Grace Robbinett Cole on June 4,
1937, in Caldwell, Idaho. They had two children, Helen Maxine
and Doyle. They farmed in the Riverside area for many years.
In 1966 they moved to their farm in the Fargo area where they
farmed and raised livestock. Grace passed away on March 3,
1971. He was one of nine children of William Norris Humphrey
and Annie Humphrey.
Homer is survived by his daughter, Helen Maxine Casey and
her husband Mike of Nampa, ID; his son, Doyle Humphrey and his
wife Pat of Springfield, OR; also a daughter, Colleen
Fredricks and husband, and a son J.W. Humphrey, both of
Oregon; 21 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace; his parents;
5 sisters and 3 brothers.
The family suggests that memorials be made to West Valley
Medical Center's Hospice Program, 1717 Arlington, Caldwell,
Idaho 83605. |
