Ivan James Sr.

    Services for Ivan M. James Sr., 81, of 523 17th Ave. S., Nampa, who died Monday. Dec. 5, at a Nampa hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa by the Rev. Joseph Housh of the Nampa First United Methodist Church.
    Masonic rites will be conducted by Mt. Moriah Lodge No. 39, A.F.& A.M., Caldwell.
    Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
    He was born May 15, 1902, to John F. and Celia Brown James at Kolby, Kan.  In 1906 he moved with his family to Big Horn Basin, Wyo., and attended school at Thermopolis, Wyo.
    He married Flavia M. Richardson, Nov. 2. 1929, at Rock Springs, Wyo., and they lived in Grass Creek, Wyo., where he worked in the oil fields.  They later moved to Rock Springs where he was a meter operator for the Mountain Fuel Supply Co.  
    In 1967 he retired and they moved to Nampa.  He was a member of the Nampa First United Methodist Church, Mt. Moriah Lodge No. 39. A.F.& A.M. of Caldwell and the Scottish Rite Bodies of Boise.
    He is survived by his wife of Nampa: two sons, Ivan M. James Jr., Big Piney, Wyo., and Donald Keith James, Nampa; one daughter, Dorothy J. Scott, Nampa; one brother, Roy F. James, Sterling, Colo.; 10 grandchildren: six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
