Ila E. Martin of
Parma Dies

    Ila E. Martin, Parma Route 3, died at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born September 4, 1896 in York county, Nebraska.
    Survivors are her husband, Fred Martin of Parma; three sons, Tommy, Ivan and Paul, all of Parma; seven daughters, Mrs. Hannah Milton and Mrs. Lois Cone, both of Parma; Mrs. Della Benedict and Mrs. Opal Schimmels, both of Caldwell; Mrs. Freda Thompson and Mrs. Naomi Campbell, both of Redding, California; and Mrs. Kathleen Anderson of Weiser; four brothers, Edd Parker and Lemmie Parker, both of Broken Bow, Nebraska, and Elszia and Ora Parker of Thedford, Nebraska; two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Henderson of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Mrs. Sylvia Morris of Bellflower, California and 26 grandchildren.
    When she was 10, the family moved to Ansley, Custer county, Nebraska and when 15 to Cherry county, Nebraska. She was married to Fred Martin at Thedford, Nebraska, April 30, 1913. The two moved to Phillips County, Kansas in 1915 and to Parma March 10, 1937.
    Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Parma Nazarene church with Rev. Vern Martin officiating. Interment will be at Parma. Peckham-Dakan has charge.
