Funeral services for Jack B. Johansen, 64, of
Caldwell, who died Tuesday, September 22, 1992, at
the Caldwell
hospital, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 26,
at the 1st Ward Chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints, 12th and Everett, Caldwell.
Bishop Fred Freeman
will officiate. Interment
will follow at Hillcrest Memorial
Gardens, Caldwell, under the direction of Flahiff
Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Mr. Johansen was born August 17, 1928, at Burley,
Idaho, a son of Bert and Martha Mozell
Johansen. He was
reared and educated in the Burley and Twin Falls area.
He married Florence
Stoddard July 28, 1945, at Burley and the couple resided in
Pocatello and Mountain Home before settling in
Caldwell
in 1956. Jack worked
for the city of Caldwell for over 30 years
before ill health forced his retirement.
He was a member of the
Caldwell
1st Ward LDS Church
where he served as an elder.
He
is survived by his wife, Florence of Caldwell; two sons,
Jackson and John Johansen, both of Caldwell; two brothers,
Lawrence Bedrow of Grants Pass, Oregon, and Wallace Johansen
of Pocatello; a sister, Florence Shill of Burley; two
grandchildren, Stephanie and Joseph Bettencourt; and several
nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Roy
and a sister Hazel.
The family suggests that memorials be given to the
American Heart Association, 3295 Elder St., Suite 140, Boise,
Idaho 83704.
