J. David Gamble, 44, of Nampa died March 24, 1994 at the
Caldwell hospital of natural causes. Funeral services will be
conducted at 11 a.m., March 28, at the Nampa Second Ward,
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2212 E. Amity
Ave. Bishop Norman Holm, Bishop of the Ward, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Services are under the direction of Alsip Funeral Chapel,
Nampa.
J. David Gamble was born on September 30, 1949 in Nampa,
to James J. and Coraleen Cressell Gamble. He was reared and
educated in Nampa, graduating from Nampa High School in 1968.
While in school David enjoyed sports and loved playing
baseball. After his schooling he worked for Fleetwood Homes
and later at Meridian Wood Products. He married Margaret E.
Byers on January 8, 1983 in Boise, where they made their home.
Their marriage was later solemnized at the Boise LDS Temple
in July 1984. In 1989 they moved to Nampa to make their home.
He worked for Canfor Lumber in Meridian until his retirement
due to an injury.
David was a member of the Nampa Second Ward, LDS Church.
His greatest love was his family and especially his
daughter, Megan.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret of Nampa; his
parents, James and Coraleen Gamble, Nampa; 1 son, Jason Spath,
Caldwell; 1 daughter, Megan Gamble, Nampa; 2 stepdaughters,
Sue Bentley, Boise, and Pam Culbertson, Boise; 2 brothers, Dan
S. Gamble, Nampa, D. Michael Gamble, Homedale; 2 sisters, Mary
M. Brenton and Lisa J. Wilkett, both of Nampa; 4
grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel today from 9
a.m. to 9 p.m. and Monday at the 2nd
Ward from 10 to 10:45 a.m. The family will greet friends at
the Alsip Funeral Chapel today from 6 to 8 p.m. |
