Services for Tillie Fillmore, 44, and her daughter, Janet
Eileen Fillmore, 11, of Caldwell, who were fatally injured in
an automobile accident near Homedale on Thursday, Feb. 21,
will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Nampa First
Church of the Nazarene, 600 15th Ave. S.
Pastor Robert Garber and Pastor Ivan Shetler of the Nampa
First Mennonite Church will officiate. Interment will
follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
Services and interment are under the direction of the Alsip
Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
Mrs. Fillmore was born Feb. 6, 1941, in Poland. In 1945
she moved with her family to Germany where she began school.
In 1955 the family moved to the United States. they
resided in Oklahoma for a few months before moving to
Washington. She graduated from Kings Garden Christian
High School in Seattle, Wash., in 1960. Following
graduation she went on to Northwest Nazarene College
graduating with a bachelor's degree in elementary education in
1965.
She married Clyde Fillmore Jr. on Aug. 22, 1964, in
Seattle, Wash. Following their marriage they lived in
Boise for a few years where she taught school. They
later moved to Nampa and then to Caldwell in 1975. She
was currently the second grade teacher at Nampa Christian
Schools where she has taught for the past eight years.
She was a member of the Nampa First Mennonite Church.
She is survived by her husband of Caldwell; two sons, David
K. and John A. Fillmore, both at home; her mother, Mrs. Hulda
Kliewer, Edmonds, Wash; four brothers, Henry Kliewer, Everett,
Wash., Herbert Kliewer, Blaine, Wash., Willy Kilewer (sic),
Edmonds, Wash; her grandmother, Mrs. Martha Bartel, Clearbrook,
British Columbia, Canada.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Kliewer, in
1974.
Janet Eileen Fillmore was born June 12, 1973, in Boise.
In 1975 she moved with her family to Caldwell. She began
school at Nampa Christian Schools in 1978 and was currently in
the sixth grade class where she was a high honor student and
was a member of the Y.B.A. basketball team. She was
involved in Suzuki piano lessons.
She was a member of the Nampa First Mennonite Church and the
G.M.S.A. at the church.
She is survived by her father of Caldwell; two brothers,
David K. and John A. Fillmore, both at home; her paternal
grandmother, Mrs. Dorothy Fillmore, Nampa; her maternal
grandmother, Mrs. Hulda Kliewer, Edmonds, Wash.; her maternal
great-grandmother, Mrs. Martha Bartel, Clearborrk, British
Columbia, Canada; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. |
