Services for James “Jim” K.
Itano, 52, of Homedale, who died Wednesday, April 30, from
injuries sustained in an automobile accident, will be held at
2 p.m. Friday at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, 504 S. Kimball,
Caldwell.
The Rev. Gary K. Shoemaker of the
Huntington
Community
United
Methodist
Church
will officiate.
Burial will follow at the
Wilder Cemetery.
Mr. Itano was born March 1, 1934, in
Nampa.
During his early years, the family farmed in the
Marsing-Homedale area.
They moved to their present farm in Wilder in 1946,
where they had farmed since.
After graduating from
Homedale High School in 1952, he served in the
National Guard as a master sergeant.
He married Mabel Y. Nagashima Nov. 30, 1968, in
Idaho Falls.
He is survived my his wife of Homedale; two sons,
Kelley and Scott Itano of Homedale; two daughters, Lori and
Karen Itano of Homedale; his mother, Mrs. Masuno Itano of
Wilder; four brothers, Joe and John Itano of Homedale, Tucker
Itano of Wilder and Frank Itano of Caldwell; three sisters,
Mary (Mrs. Frank) Tanikuni of Homedale, Lois (Mrs. Oscar)
Kondo of Nampa, and Joyce Ben) Tom of San Jose, Ca1if.; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his
father, Mitsugi Itano, and a baby brother, Kiyoshi.
