John Hoffman

    Services for John P. Hoffman, 51, of Caldwell, who died Saturday, June 28, at home of natural causes, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell by the Rev. Mark Johnson of the First United Methodist Church of Middleton.  Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Caldwell.
    Mr. Hoffman was born on Aug. 10, 1934, in Washburn, Wisc. He moved with his family from Wisconsin in 1939 to Salem, Ore.  He was reared and educated in the Salem area.
    He moved to Boise where he attended an appliance repair school.  Later he was in a partnership in Boise in an appliance repair business.
    He moved to Caldwell in 1976. He owned and operated Caldwell Appliance since that time.
    He married Dixie Kramer on Aug. 10, 1985 at Middleton.
    He enjoyed fishing, golfing and bowling.
    He is survived by his wife of Caldwell; four sons, Andy Kramer and Tim Kramer, both of Caldwell, Daniel Patzer of Salem, Ore., and Darrel Patzer of Ontario, Ore.; one daughter, Kelly Kramer of Caldwell; and five sisters, Shirley Stallings, Ruth Smith and Mary Lutz, all of Salem, Dorothy Real of Depoe Bay, Ore., and Pat Brillon of Albany, Ore.; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by five brothers and his parents.
    Friends may call at Flahiff Funeral Chapel today from 4 until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
    Memorials may be given to the Hospice Program in care of West Valley Medical Center Caldwell, or to the American Cancer Society.
