Kenneth 'Lonnie'

"Lonnie" entered into rest July 31, 1996, at his home. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Middleton Cemetery. Rev. Don Hardenbrook, associate pastor of the Oregon Trail Church of God, will -- officiate. Services are under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Lonnie, as he was so well known to family and friends, was born on September 5, 1941, in Pueblo, Colorado, to Kenneth and Velva Grever.
He dearly loved his wife, Barbara, whom he married on Sept. 2, 1961, in Watsonville, California.  Lonnie moved his family from California to Idaho in 1970, settling in Middleton, where he worked as a drywaller and continued this line of work the rest of his life.
He loved to camp and fish, but the best thing he loved to do was stock car racing, which he had done early in life.  Later he settled for watching races on TV.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Middleton; a son, Troy Grever of Middleton; a daughter, Lori Eller of Asotin, Washington; 6 grandchildren; two sisters, Sharon Petersen and Linda Waltrip of San Jose, California; and his father, Kenneth Grever of Middleton.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Friends may call at Dakan Funeral Chapel on Sunday from 1 until 5 p.m.
