Lois Higgins

    Funeral services for Mrs. Lois A. Higgins, 61, of Nampa, who died of natural causes Thursday, Feb. 6, at her home, will be conducted at 1p.m. Monday at the College Church of the Nazarene, 504 E. Dewey Ave., Nampa, with the Rev. Kenneth Ball, associate pastor of the Nampa First Church of the Nazarene, officiating.  Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.  Services and interment are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
    Mrs. Higgins was born May 20, 1924, at Ontario, Ore.  She was reared and educated in Oregon, radiating from Adrian High School.
    She married Lyle J. Higgins Oct. 18, 1942, at Parma.  In 1950 they began their ministry together in the pastoring of Nazarene Churches in Unity, Ore., Mills, Wyo., Worland, Wyo., Homedale, Jerome and Kuna.
    In 1980 they moved to Nampa where they have since made their home.  She worked at the Mangum Clinic in Nampa as a receptionist for 11 years.  She was a member of the College Church of the Nazarene.
    She is survived by her husband of Nampa; three daughters, Linda Moreland of Philadelphia, Pa., Diane Bolles of La Grande, Ore., and Peggy Wenner of Nampa; two sons, Larry Higgins of Spokane, Wash., and Steve Higgins of Kuna; three brothers, Ray Steinhaus of Nampa, Kenneth Steinhaus of Parma and Dean Steinhaus of Nampa; two sisters, Opal Bratcher of Parma and Carol Pringle of Willow Springs, Mo.; 12 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
    Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel today from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
    Memorials may be made to the Nazarene Hunger and Disaster Fund in care of College Church of the Nazarene, 504 E. Dewey Ave., Nampa 83651.
