NAMPA - Services for Miss
Lilly Belle Hopson, 80, of 201 Colonial Apts., Nampa, who died
Tuesday at a Nampa nursing home, will be conducted at 2 p.m.
tomorrow at the Alsip Chapel. The Rev. Edward E. Dixon of the
Nampa First Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will
be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Miss Hopson was born in Gainesville, Texas, April 15,
1884, to Mr. and Mrs. William G. Hopson. She was reared in
Texas and educated there and in Oklahoma. In 1914, she began
her career as a school teacher. She came to Nampa in 1921,
where she taught the second grade at Kenwood, Roosevelt and
Lincoln schools. She retired in 1954.
Miss Hopson was a member of the First Methodist Church in
Nampa and died following a short illness.
Among her survivors are two sisters, Mrs. H. E. Stansbury,
Oakland, Calif., and Mrs. H. S. Swift, Tulsa, Okla., and a
number of nieces and nephews. |
