Lucille Hitchcock

    Lucille C. Hitchcock, 87, of Caldwell, died Monday, February 5, 1996, at an Ontario retirement home.  Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 9, 1996, at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.  Rev. David Stewart of the Payette United Methodist Church will officiate.  Private interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
    Mrs. Hitchcock was born August 2, 1908, at Parsons, Kansas to Lee C. Wright and Elsie M. Shatper Wright.  She was reared and educated in Parsons where she attended Patrick Private School and later attended Link's School of Business in Boise.   She married Graydon M. Hitchcock December 23, 1925, in Parsons, Kansas.  The couple moved to Southern California in 1930.  In 1947 they came to Idaho and built a new home in Middleton where they owned and operated the Hitchcock Auto Repair for 15 years.  Mrs. Hitchcock was the bookkeeper and auto parts buyer.
    She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Middleton for 30 years where she served as pianist and organist for several years and held other offices in the church.  She was a former member of the Pamona Grange of Middleton and the Idaho State Grange in which she held several offices and served as pianist for several years.  Mrs. Hitchcock also worked as a volunteer for the Red Cross and other organizations in both California and Idaho.
    She loved raising flowers and sharing them with others and also enjoyed traveling by automobile with her husband.  At the time of her death she was a member of the Caldwell United Methodist Church and the Caldwell Senior Citizens.
    Surviving are a sister, Elsie M. Neary of Aptos, California; two brothers, R. Glenn Wright of Ontario, Oregon, and Lee C. Wright Jr. of Fruitland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Graydon; her parents; three brothers and one sisters.

    Friends may call at Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
