Larry Hawkinson

Larry D. Hawkinson, 55, of Caldwell, died Thursday, December 31, 1992 at a Caldwell hospital.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, January 4, 1992 at the Memorial Park Baptist Church, Caldwell with Rev. Everest Zediker Jr, officiating.  Services will conclude at the church with a private burial at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Cddwell, under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Larry was born September 2, 1937, in McPherson, Kansas to Clarence and Lucille Hawkinson.  He was raised in McPherson and graduated from McPherson High School in 1955 and McPherson College in 1963.  He married Gloria H. Dimond on February 22, 1959, in Little River, Kansas.  He worked more than 20 years in the manufactured housing business and in 1978 he and his family moved to Caldwell, Idaho, with KIT Manufacturing.  In 1980, Larry left the manufactured housing business to become an Investment Representative with Edward D. Jones and Co. in Caldwell.  He had a short but very rewarding career with Edward D. Jones.  His greatest joy in working there was getting to know the community he lived and worked in and making the many friends who were very dear to him until he died.
Larry was a member of the Memorial Park Baptist Church in Caldwell; a member of the Caldwell Elk's Lodge #1448; and a Past Exalted Ruler of the McPherson Elks Lodge #502.  He was also a member of the Caldwell Shrine Club, the El Korah Temple, the Scottish Rite of Masonry, the Mount Moriah Masonic Lodge #39 and belonged to the Broadmore Country Club in Nampa and the Caldwell Rotary Club.
He was a very loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.  His family will remember him that way and will miss him very dearly.
Survivors include his wife Gloria Hawkinson; a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Stephanie Hawkinson of Boise; a daughter and son-in-law, Kandi and Larry Myers of Parma; a granddaughter, Kaylene of Parma; a step-mother, Maurita Anderson of McPherson, Kansas; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Cecil and Haze1 Dimond of Marquette, Kansas; a sister, Janet Watts of Prairie Village, Kansas; a brother, Douglas Hawkinson of McPherson, Kansas; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Clarence and Lucille Hawkinson.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Shriner's Hospitals for Crippled Children, Fairfax Avenue and Virginia Street, Salt Lake City, UT, 84103, or to the Memorial Park Baptist Church, 1219 S. Kimball Ave., Caldwell, Idaho 83605.
