Leighton I. Keith

    NAMPA - Funeral services for Leighton Ira Keith, 59, 1221 Sweetwood Circle, Nampa, who died Friday at a Nampa hospital following a brief illness, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel.
    Bishop Arlen H. Benjamin of the Nampa Fourth Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will officiate.  Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
    Mr. Keith was born May 18, 1916, at Cambridge, Vt., and was reared and attended schools near Waterbury, Vt.  He served with the U.S. Army during World War II and came to Nampa following his discharge from service.  He married Barbara Smart at Nampa June 19, 1944, and they have resided here since.  He was a section foreman for the Union Pacific Railroad.
    He was a member of the Nampa Fourth Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
    He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Barbara Keith, Nampa; two sons, Lester R. Keith and David L. Keith, both of Nampa; one daughter, Mrs. Gary (Donna) Whitmore, Nampa; three sisters, Mrs. Lois Stewart, Morrisville, Vt., Mrs. Shirely Marshall, Waterbury, Vt., and Mrs. Marie Newland, Caldwell; and six grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two granddaughters.
