Lodema P. Jaeckel,
94, of Nampa, died Friday,
Sept. 7, 1990, at a
Nampa
care center. Grveside
services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, at
Hillcrest
Memorial
Gardens,
Caldwell.
The Rev. Tom Larson, pastor of the First United
Methodist
Church,
Nampa, will
officiate. Mrs.
Jaeckel was born Jan. 29, 1896, in
Farragut, Iowa, a
daughter of Alfred and Vinona Spangler Reid, and was raised
and educated in Iowa.
She married Loren Coy in May 1919, at Hemmingford, Neb.
She later married Emil Jaeckel Dec. 29, 1939, at
Hemmingford and they moved from there to Nampa in February 1940.
Lodema taught at Midway, Sunny Ridge and Eastside
schools, then taught junior high school in Nampa until she retired.
She is survived by
a son, Keith Coy, of Farmersville,
Calif.; two stepdaughters, Beulah Dickinson of
Middleton and Gladys Morgan of Caldwell;
a sister, Vera Marvel in
California; eight grandchildren; 14
great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in
death by her husband, Emil and two sisters.
Friends may call
today until 9 p.m. at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel,
Nampa, and may meet at the cemetery for
services.
