"Bud" Gingricfi, 58, of Meridian, died Wednesday, May 11,
1994, at his home, surrounded by loved ones. Memorial
services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, May 16, 1994, at
the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa. Pastor Marilyn Miller, a
family friend from Boulder, CO, will officiate. Private
family interment will precede the services at the Hillcrest
Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
Leon "Bud" Gingrich was born on Dec. 19, 1935, at Wichita,
KS, the son of Ervin and Goldie Gingrich. He was reared and
educated in Kansas where he graduated from high school. He
married Louise Brunk on Oct. 5, 1957, at Heston, KS. In 1958
they moved to Idaho. Bud was involved in residential and
commercial construction and the restaurant business throughout
the Treasure Valley for 35 years.
He enjoyed golfing with his many friends and always had a
cheerful outlook on life. A perfectionist in many ways and
always did it "my way." He also enjoyed going to McCall and
the sunshine in Palm Desert, CA, to play golf and go boating
with family and friends. He was a member of the Broadmore
Country Club and the Nampa B.P.O.E. #1389.
Bud is survived by his wife, Louise Gingrich, Meridian; a
son, Kent Gingrich, Laguna Hills, CA; a daughter, Sandy
Gingrich, Boise; his father, Ervin Gingrich, Glendale, AZ; 2
brothers, Lyle Gingrich, Laguna Niguel, CA, and Clinton
Gingrich, Mesa, AZ; 2 grandsons, Aaron and Kelly Mayovsky,
Boise; 4 granddaughters, Brooke, Shayna, Lauren and Madison
Gingrich, all of Nampa; 4 nephews; 3 nieces; and many close
Bud was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will
be truly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Goldie in 1993.
