Services for Lindsey "Ernie"
Hughes, 79, of Parma, who died Monday, Sept. 26, at a Homedale
nursing home of natural causes will be conducted at 2 p.m.
Friday at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Parma, by the Rev. Paul
Nickens of the Parma Revival Center.
Private interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens,
Caldwell.
He was born May 6, 1904, at Newcastle, Pa., to Edward and
Eva May Hughes. He married Mattie M. Burgette, at
Indianapolis, Ind., on Oct. 26, 1946. During World War 11, he
worked as a welder in the Bison Shipyards at Youngstown. Ohio.
He came to Idaho in 1956, where he worked as an auto
mechanic and moved to Parma in 1969 where he worked as a
mechanic and welder for the J. R. Simplot Company.
He is survived by his wife of Parma; one granddaughter,
Carrol Ann Smith and one great granddaughter, Ronda Rae
Satterfield, both of Indianapolis.
Memorials may be made to the Mountain States Tumor
Institute.
Friends may call at Dakan Funeral chapel in Caldwell from
5 to 9 p.m. tonight. |
