Margaret Holton

    Margaret Ann Holton, 85, passed away in Ponderay, Idaho, on August 28, 1995.
    Graveside memorial services will be held in Parma, Idaho, at the Roswell Cemetery on Saturday, September 2, at 4 p.m.
    Margaret was born on Chief Redbirds Reservation in Oklahoma and had lived in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  She married Chester Clayton Holton in Caldwell, Idaho, on April 2, 1934.
    She had been a reporter for the Caldwell News Tribune while living in Caldwell.  She moved to Coquille, Oregon, in 1951 and worked as a reporter for the Coquille Valley Sentinel. She had also served with the Ground Observer Corp. and clerked in a grocery store, in Coquille.  She had worked for the Greyhound Corp. as a Transportation Director in Coquille.
    Margaret retired in 1976 and had lived in Sagle, Idaho, and Coquille, Oregon. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She enjoyed writing, reading, and photography.
    Margaret is survived by 3 children, Patricia Joan Wilcox of Sandpoint, Idaho, William Chester Holton of Sacramento, Calif., Mary Ann Wiley of Portland, Oregon; 15 grandchildren and 27 great-grand children.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 7 brothers, and 2 sisters.
