Matilda C. Herman

    NAMPA - Requiem Mass for Mrs. Matilda C. Herman, 85, of Nampa, who died Friday afternoon in a local nursing home, will be celebrated at St. Paul's Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Fr. Henry McCloskey. S.M.  Interment will be at Mount Calvary.  Rosary will be recited at the Alsip Chapel at 8 p.m. Monday.
    Mrs. Herman was born July 1, 1883, in Columbus, Tex., and was reared in Texas, Colorado, Montana, and Nampa.  She was married in 1905 to Walter H. Herman, and the couple lived in Nampa for a number of years.  They also resided in the Melba area for many years prior to his death in 1950.
    She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, and the church's altar society.
    Surviving are a son, Francis J. Herman, Melba, and a sister, Mrs. Agnes Thomas. Seattle. She was preceded in death by a son.
