Muriel Jensen

Mrs. Muriel L. Jensen, 77, of Nampa, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 1991, at a Nampa hospital following an extended illness.  Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 1991, at the Nampa Berean Baptist Church, 904 12th Ave. Road.  Rev. Donn Mogford, pastor of the church, will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.  Services are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
    Muriel was born on March 2, 1913, at Appleton, Minn. to Herman and Ducetta Steffen. She was reared and educated in Bellingham, Minn. where she attended a country grade school and graduated from Bellingham High School in 1932.  She married Ted Miller in Minnesota and of this union, Lee and Jane were born.  Mr. Miller passed away in 1942.
    She then married Donald W. Jensen on Jan. 16, 1944, in Ortonville, Minn.  They resided on a farm at Odessa, Minn. until 1959 when they moved to Nampa, where they have since resided.
    As a housewife and a mother, she was always there for her husband, her eight children, 28 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  She enjoyed her handcrafts and her great collection of flowers.  She loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping.  Muriel was a member of the Nampa Berean Baptist Church where she was active in many church activities.
    She is survived by her husband, Donald W. of Nampa; four sons, Lee and Linda Miller of Wyomissing, Penn., James and Faith Jensen of Kuna, Ralph and Nancy Jensen of Boise, Douglas Jensen of Nampa; four daughters, Jane and Eugene Radermacher of Lynnwood, Wash., Peggy and Robert Nelson of Milford, N.Y., Kathryn and Cheryl B. Stewart of Nampa, Mary Ann and Chip Houst of Boise; three brothers, Woodrow Steffen of Solway, Minn., Clarence Steffen of Reseda, Calif., Oliver Steffen of Clark, S.D.; one sister, Norma Jensen of Minnetonka, Minn.; 28 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Christie.
    The family suggests memorial contributions to the Mountain States Tumor Institute West, 151 E. Bannock St., Boise, Idaho 83702.
