Marlene Friesen |
Funeral
services for Miss Marlene M. Friesen, 37, of Nampa, who died
at her home on Tuesday, June 5, 1990, will be conducted at
3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at the Nampa First Church of the
Nazarene, 600 15th Ave. S., with the Rev. Jerry White, pastor
of the church, officiating. Burial will follow in the
Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell. Services are under
the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel.
Miss Friesen was born Sept. 17, 1952, at Rosthern,
Saskatchewan, Canada. She was reared and educated in
Kirkland, Wash., until she was a sophomore in high school.
She then moved to Canada where she graduated from high school.
She attended Bible College for two years in Canada and the
University of British Columbia for three years. She
graduated from Northwest Nazarene College in 1979. For
the past 11 years she had taught at Nampa Christian Schools
where she was loved by all her students, staff and teachers.
She was a member of the Nampa First Church of the Nazarene.
Marlene was a genuine person. Her laughter and energy
were ever present to those around her. Although someone
has tried to silence her they never will, for her love for
Jesus shines on in the hearts and lives of those she has
touched.
Marlene is survived by her mother, Lorayne A. Friesen,
Seattle, Wash.; her father, Buno C. Friesen, Federal Way,
Wash.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dennis and Loris
Friesen, Kent, Wash., and John and Veronica Friesen, Pearl
City, Hawaii; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Alice Fay
Friesen, a student at NNC, and Della and Jim Rogers, Missoula,
Mont.; and seven nieces and nephews.
The family would like friends to know that there will be an
interpreter for the hearing impaired at the services.
Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel today until 9
p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
The family suggests memorials be given to the Marlene Friesen
Memorial Fund at Nampa Christian Schools, P.O. Box G, Nampa
83653; or flowers may be sent. |
