Mattie Francone

    Mattie Nelle Francone, 83, of Nampa, passed away June 20, 1997, in the Karcher Estates Care Center of natural causes.  The Funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 24, 1997, at 2 p.m. in the Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.  The family will greet friends at the Francone residence after burial services.
    Mattie was born January 14, 1914, at Jonesboro, Tennessee, a daughter of Hugh and Mary Cox Kincheloe.  She moved with her family t a ranch near Homedale, Idaho, in 1925, where she remained until her marriage to Eugene Francone in 1933.  Mattie and Gene made their home in Nampa where they owned and operated Francone's Club for many years.  Mattie was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Sister and will be missed greatly.
    She is survived by two daughters, Barbara (Mr. Carroll) Smith of Nampa, and Shirley (Mrs. Tom)_ Cassidy of California; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Sam Kencheloe of Nampa, and General Niles Fulwyler of New Mexico; three aunts, Goldie Cox, Pearl Fulkerson, and Katie Cox of TN; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
    Mattie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eugene, and one brother, Cecil.
