Services for Miller
Henderlider, 74, Melba, who died at a local hospital Thursday,
will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel.
The Rev. W. B. Hiller of Southside Boulevard Methodist
Church will officiate. Interment will be at Melba.
Mr. Henderlider was born Oct. 26, 1887, at Boise, the
youngest son of John and Margaret Henderlider, early Idaho
pioneers. He married Florence Wolfe Feb. 10, 1913 at Boise.
Mr. Henderlider farmed in the Five Mile Community near Boise
until 1926. They then moved to the Deer Flat area near Nampa,
and farmed until 1940. He and his wife operated the Lake
Shore Service until the fall of 1960. After retirement they
moved to Melba.
He was a member of the Owyhee County Historical Society,
Owyhee Gem and Mineral Society, Southside Grange No. 99, and a
member of Sons and Daughters of Idaho Pioneers.
Mr. Henderlider became ill Sunday night at his home. He
was the last survivor of his family.
He leaves besides his wife of Melba, three daughters, Mrs.
Dyre (Eleanor) Roberts, Parma, Mrs. Frank (Marie) Douglas and
Mrs. Burton (Lucile) Blades, both of Nampa; five grandchildren
and three great-granddaughters. |
