Noel Jensen

    Services for Noel G. Jensen, 77, of Nampa, a retired busi nesswoman, who died Saturday, April 12, in a Boise hospital, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
    The Rev. Duane E. Buhler of the Calvary Assembly Christian Faith Center, Nampa, will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
    Mrs. Jensen was born Aug. 13, 1908, at Bunnison, Utah, where she was reared and educated.
    She married W.R. "Dick" Jensen in 1931 in southern Idaho.
    They later moved to Seattle, Wash., where they began a wholesale auto parts business known as Valley Auto Supply.  In 1938, they moved to Ontario, Ore., where they owned and operated Valley Auto Supply until they retired and sold the business in 1977.
    Mr. Jensen died in 1977. She then moved to Nampa, where she had resided since.
    She was a member of the Women's Century Club and was currently serving as its president.  She was also serving as the Idaho Federation of Women's Clubs 2nd district second vice president.  She also held various offices in Soroptomists, Rebekahs, Royal Neighbors of America and the WSCS in the Methodist Church.
    She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Tony Winther of Sacramento, Calif.: two sisters, Ella G. Bain of Nampa and Iva Anderson of Salt Lake City; a grandson and his wife, Mike and Mary Winther of Modesto, Calif.; a great-granddaughter, Courtney Ann Winther; numerous cousins; and a very dear friend, Emil Wilske, Nampa.
    The family will greet friends at the Alsip chapel Tuesday from 7: 30-8: 30 p.m.
    Memorials may be made to the Women's Century Club Scholarship Fund in care of Thelma Allison, 343 Holland Dr., Nampa 83651; or flowers may be sent.
