Noah T. Howard

    NAMPA - Funeral services for Noah Thomas Howard, 97, 472 Caldwell Blvd., Nampa, who died in a Nampa hospital today will be conducted Monday at 3:30 p.m. at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa, with Dr. James O. York Sr., and Rev. Frank M. Marler of the First Christian Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
    He was born Oct. 4, 1878, at Springdale. Ark. At the age of six, he moved with his parents to Sentinel, Mo., and at the age of 18 he moved to Urbana. Mo.  He was married to Myra Evelena Depew April 1, 1900.  He operated blacksmith shops at Calhoun, Mo., and McPherson, Kan.  In 1932 they moved to Colorado and lived there four years.  In 1936 they moved to Bowmont, and he ran a shop there.  They moved to Nampa in 1942, and had since resided there.  Mrs. Howard preceded him in death Feb. 26, 1968.  He was a member of the Boise Valley Church of the Brethren.
    Mr. Howard is survived by one son, James Vaughn Howard, Nampa; three daughters, Mrs. Homer (Mabel) Schlatter, Estes Park, Colo., Mrs. Marion (Pearl) Harris, Arvada, Colo., Mrs. Marvin (Norine) Johnson, Topeka, Kan. ; 10 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
    Besides his wife he was preceded in death by one daughter, four brothers and one sister.
