Nayda Edith Ford, 80, of Melba, died Wednesday, March 6, 1991,
at home of natural causes. Graveside funeral services
will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 8, at the Melba
Cemetery. Pastor Steve Fine of the Caldwell Friends
Church will officiate.. Services are under the direction
of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
Mrs. Ford was born Dec. 21, 1910, at Howards Ridge, Mo., to
Claude and Mamie Williams. She was reared and attended
schools in Missouri. She married Owen Ford April 15,
1932, at Dora, Mo., and they made their home in the San
Gabriel Valley of Southern California. In 1956 they
moved to Nampa where they farmed until their retirement in
1979 when they moved to Melba. Owen died Dec. 14, 1989.
She lived for her family. Nayda would often make dolls
and write poetry for them.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Bob
Bruno of Melba; two sisters, Leone Elliott and Vivian Barnett,
both of Newport, Wash.; two grandsons, David and Steve
Lambert, both of Bremerton, Wash.; three granddaughters, Lisa
Lambert of Tacoma, Wash., Edie and Eric Stansbury of Boise and
Christy Lambert of Moscow, Idaho.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents
and a brother.
Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel today from 6 to
9 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until noon. |
