Requiem high mass will be celebrated at St. Paulís Catholic
Church at 10 a.m. Monday for Nicolas Mallea, 76, 803 Eighth
Ave. S., who died Friday morning at a Nampa hospital. The
Rev. Fr. Edward H. Donze will be celebrant. Rosary devotions
will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Shepherd Mortuary
The cortege will leave the Shepherd Mortuary at 9:50 a.m.
Mr. Mallea was born Dec. 22, 1888 at Yspaslar, Spain, and
came from Spain to Delamar, Idaho, in 1908, where he worked in
the mines near Silver City. He was married to Dionisia
Ycasuriaga Oct. 20, 1921, at St. Paulís Catholic Church in
Nampa. They lived in Silver City until 1937, when they moved
to Nampa. He was employed by the Pacific Fruit Express for
many years, until he was retired in 1959. He was a member of
St. Paulís Church.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Luis N.
Mallea, Wichita, Kan., Leonard Mallea of Caldwell, and A. Jim
Mallea of Nampa; 12 grandchildren and 20 nieces and nephews.
