Funeral services for Orville
Ernest Hartman St., 84, Parma, who died Wednesday at home,
will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Kirkpatrick Memorial
Presbyterian Church, Parma, by the Revs. Raymond Wilson and
Stanley Banks. Interment will follow in Lower Boise
Cemetery, Parma under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel,
He was born March 19, 1897 in Parma. He was reared and
educated in Ten Davis, near Parma. He attended Oregon
State University and served in the armed forces during World
War I. He returned to Ten Davis after the war. He
married Ruby Sonner on May 25, 1923. He was a member of
Temple Encampment No. 3, Caldwell; Boomerang Auxiliary No. 64;
and Patriarch Militant No. 9 and Auxiliary. He was a
charter member of the Canyon County Farm Bureau. He
served on the Ten Davis School Board for many years and was a
member of Odd Fellows Lodge No. 55, and Rebekah Lodge No. 49
and Pioneer Odd Fellows Lodge No. 1, both of Idaho City.
He is survived by his wife of Parma; three daughters, Mrs.
Lafe (Audrey) Allen of Fountain Valley, Calif., Mrs. Arlou
(Wilma Joyce) Shiell of Tucson, Ariz., and Mrs. Bruce
(Marjorie Ann) Pickett of Meridian; a son, Orville E. Jr. of
Parma; three brothers, William J. and Maurice A., both of
Boise, and Charles T. of Los Banos, Calif.; 11 grandchildren
and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by
a son, two sisters and three brothers.
Memorials may be made to the Odd Fellow Home in Caldwell or
Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church.
