Memorial graveside services
for Orin Richard Hudson, 77, of Ventura, Calif., formerly of
Wilder, who died Wednesday, Oct. 10, in a Caldwell hospital,
will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Wilder Cemetery by
Wilder Masonic Lodge 83, under the direction of the Flahiff
Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
He was born Sept. 22, 1907, at Caldwell. He was reared
and educated at Wilder. He worked at the Wilder IGA Store for
several years, and later became the store manager.
He married Mildred Peterson on Feb. 28, 1936, at Arena
Valley. He continued working as manager at the Wilder IGA
Store. They built and operated the Wilder Cash Market from
1937 until 1941, when they moved to Los Angeles. He attended
the National Radio School for a year, and worked for several
years as a radio repair technician. They later moved to Santa
Paula, Calif., for one year, and then moved to Ventura, Calif.
Later he worked as a theatre projectionist from 1943 until
1973. He was a 50 year member of the Wilder Masonic Lodge and
the Projectionist Union.
He is survived by his wife and a son, Larry Hudson, both
of Ventura, Calif., and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
