Pearl Helmick

    Graveside services for Pearl V. Helmick, 67, 2010 Marshall Ave., Caldwell, who died Sunday, July 3, at a Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, by the Rev. John Sauser of the Montana Avenue Baptist Church, under the direction of the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    She was born July 4, 1915, in Delta, Colo.  She married Chester Helmick on June 12, in 1933, at Montrose, Calif.  In 1951, the family moved to the Caldwell area, where they have farmed for many years.
    She is survived by her husband, Chester, of Caldwell; two daughters, Betty Perkins of Kent, Wash., and Peggy Compher of Chillicothe, Ohio; a brother, Arthur Taylor of Salinas, Calif.; seven grandchildren, five great- grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters and a great-grandson.
    Memorials may be given to the Caldwell Memorial Hospital Intensive Care Unit.
    Friends may meet at the cemetery for services.
