NAMPA – Requiem Mass for Mrs. Pearl Garrity, 60, of 1223 12th
Ave. So., who died Friday evening at a Nampa hospital
following an extended illness, will be celebrated Tuesday at
10 a.m. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father
Henry McCloskey, S.M., as celebrant.
The Rosary will be recited Monday at 8 p.m., at the Alsip
Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Garrity was born July 18, 1904, at Carol, Iowa. She
was reared in Iowa, and came to Nampa with her parents in
1920. She was employed at the Idaho First National Bank at
Nampa, for about 20 years.
In 1945, she was married to Dr. John W. Garrity, and they
have made their home here since that time. Through the years
she had remained very active in the community affairs of
Nampa. She was a member of St. Paul’s Church, and a member of
the Nampa Lady Elks.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. John W. “Jack”
Garrity, of Nampa; by one brother, Frank Woodford of Nampa;
and by two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Haskins and Mrs. Gladys
Splinter, both of Nampa. |
