Note - Obituary is a little confusing in that he
married and his wife died, but then also mentions
that his wife survives him.

 

Ray A. Sprong

     NAMPA Ė Requiem High Mass for Ray A. Sprong, 60, Nampa Route 3, who died Sunday at a Nampa hospital, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paulís Catholic Church by Fr. Paul J. Flynn, S.M. Interment will be at Mt. Calvary.
     Rosary devotions will be recited today at 8 p.m. at Shepherd Chapel.
     Mr. Sprong was born March 1, 1906, at Brammer, Mo.  He moved to Nampa as a small boy and attended schools here.  He married Rosemary Goldsmith on May 1, 1940, and had lived here since and worked as a carman at the Pacific Fruit Express shops.
     He was a member of St. Paulís Catholic Church.
     Survivors are his wife, Rosemary, Nampa; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Halsey, Pico Riviera, Calif.; a son, Dennis, Nampa; and a sister, Mrs. Goldie Myers, Deep Water, Mo.
