Robert D. "Bob" Hill, 69 of
Nampa, died Friday, March 16, 1990, at the Nampa hospital.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, at Flahiff
Funeral Chapel of Nampa. The Rev. Rercival A. Wesche, a
retired Church of the Nazarene minister, Nampa, will
officiate. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens,
Caldwell.
Mr. Hill was born Sept. 14, 1920, at Buhl, Idaho, a son of
Milton L. and Doris Piercy Kill. He grew up and attended
schools there and began farming with his father in 1938 at
Buhl until they moved the farming operation to Jerome in 1941.
In 1943 the farming operation was again moved to Gooding. He
married Cecilia R. Perotti April 19, 1937, at Gooding. In
1958 Bob relocated to Cascade where he became proprietor of
the Elkhorn Drive-In, and was employed by the forest service
and Valley County Courthouse. He and Cecelia were divorced in
1964. He became part owner of God's Acres Lakeview Homesites
in Cascade. He married Thelma Dean Chase May 6, 1979, at
Reno, Nev.
Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the forest
and his work as a land developer on God's Acres. He was a
charter member of Payette Lodge No. 6459, BPOE, McCall.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma, of Nampa; a son,
Robert Douglas Hill of Nampa; three daughters, Donna Henry of
Gooding, Marilyn McBride of Milton-Freewater, Ore., and
Roberta Andrews of Mesa, Wash.; his, mother, Doris McCall of
Rupert, two brothers, Lloyd Hill of Buhl and Milton J. Hill of
Rupert; a sister, Mary Lou Linzy of Heyburn; a stepson, Arthur
M. Chase of Sedona, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; two
step-granddaughters; six step-great-grandchildren; and several
nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and an infant son.
Memorials may be made to a favorite charity or flowers may
be sent.
Friends may call until 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until
time of services on Tuesday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel of
Nampa. |
