Robert 'Bob' Holton

   Funeral services for Robert D. "Bob" Holton, 77, of Wilder, who died Saturday, March 2, 1996, at the Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 1996, at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.  Reverend Gay Jefferies of the United Methodist Church, Wilder, will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Wilder Cemetery, Wilder, Idaho.
    Mr. Holton was born August 5, 1918, at Wilder, Idaho, a son of Jay Gould and lvie Louella Harland Holton. He was reared and educated in Wilder.  He moved to Grangeville, Idaho, where he met Bonnie M. Packer and they were married June 1, 1940, at Wilder.  He started farming in 1942 on the Wilder bench.  He farmed until 1968 when he was injured in a farming accident.
    Bob enjoyed fishing when he was able to.
    He was a member of the Wilder United Methodist Church.
    Survivors include his wife, Bonnie of Wilder; a son and daughter-in-law, Wendell Robert and Jan Holton of Melba; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Ann Holton Lankford and William D. Lankford of Richardson, Texas; two sisters, Betty McDonald of Caldwell and Doris Cummings of Nampa; two grandchildren, Michele "Shellie" Lankford and Dustin and his wife Kim Holton; two great-grandchildren, Austin and Harrison; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Jay Holton; and a great-grandson Zachary.
   The family suggests that memorials be given to the United Methodist Church, Wilder.
    Friends may call today until 8 p.m. at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
