Robert 'Bob' Harper

    Robert G. "Bob” Harper, 59, of Nampa, beloved father and grandfather, went to be with his Lord on Friday, Nov. 15, 1996.  Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.  Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
    Bob was born Feb. 18, 1937, at Lansing, Mich., to Edward and Bertha Jones Harper.  In the fourth grade, he moved with his family to Nampa, Idaho, where he was reared and attended College High.  He married Glenda Horn on Oct. 16, 1965, at Nampa, where they have made their home.  Bob worked as a maintenance supervisor for H.H. Keim Meat Packing Co. in Nampa for 22 years.
    He attended Capital Christian Center in Boise.
    A loving husband, father and grandfather,  Bob was always generous with his time and willing to help others.  In his recent years of retirement, his hobby had become cooking for loved ones and friends.  
    We are all going to miss him here on Earth, but will rejoice to see him again in Heaven.
    He is survived by his wife, Glenda of Nampa; three daughters, Debra Kadel of Nampa, Margo Barnett and her husband, Dwayne of Nampa, and Jill Butterworth and her husband, Thad of Meridian; two sons, Michael Harper of Nampa, and Kent Harper and his wife, Gloria of Nampa; a brother, Harold Harper of Three Lakes, Wis.; three sisters, Marian Felder of Nampa, Helen Waller of Shreveport, La., and Joyce Thompson of Olympia, Wash.; and 10 grandchildren, Matthew Kadel, David Kadel, Tyrel Barnett, Dylan Harper, Nikki Price, Josiah Butterworth, Victoria Buell, Thea Buell, Rebecca Buell, and Hiliary Buell.
    He was preceded in death by his parents.
    Friends may call Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Alsip Funeral Chapel.
