Christian Science reading will be offered at graveside
memorial services for Robert Ned Glover, 64, of Magalia,
Calif., a former resident of Nampa, who died Sunday, May 29,
at a Martinez, Calif., hospital, at 10 a.m. Tuesday at
Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, under the direction of
Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa.
He was born Oct. 29, 1918, at Comstock, Neb., a son of
Loyd Sr. and Lena Fountain Glover. He was reared and educated
in Nebraska. He married Ruth Pirnie Sept. 28, 1940, at Loup
City, Neb., and he served in the U.S. Army in early World War
11. They moved to Nampa in 1943 where he worked for the
Carnation Company for 10 years prior to transferring to
California in 1961 and retired in 1977 after 26 years service
to the company.
He was a member of the Christian Science Church and was an
avid golfer and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth of Magalia, Calif.; one
son, Robert Keith Glover, Eureka, Mont.; one daughter, Judy De
Valera, Paradise, Calif.; two brothers, Loyd Glover Jr., Kent,
Wash., and Charles Glover, Klamath Falls, Ore.; six
grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
