Thurman E. Benedict

     CALDWELL – Services for Thurman E. Benedict, 43, of 711 Galveston street, who died unexpectedly Monday in a doctor’s office, will be conducted at the Peckham-Dakan-Davis Chapel, Friday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Harold N. Nye will officiate, interment will be at Hillcrest on Karcher road.
    Mr. Benedict was born April 14, 1916 in Franklin County, Nebraska and was reared in Nebraska. He came to Canyon county in April 1937, and was married September 20, 1937, in Notus to Della Martin. They lived in Wilder and Parma before moving to Caldwell 17 years ago when he started work with the Pieters Wheeler Seed company. He was a veteran of World War II.
    In addition to Mrs. Benedict he is survived by a son, Billy, of Caldwell; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Marquez of Parma and Claudia Benedict of Caldwell; his mother, Mrs. Homer Benedict of Boise; five brothers, Nila, Gerald and Wray Benedict, all of Boise, Dale of Eugene, Oregon and Wilfred Benedict of Twin Falls; three sisters, Mrs. Thorne Jones of Denver, Colorado, and Mrs. Fred Sullivan and Mrs. Velma Dye, both of Boise, and one grandson.
