William Hays

    Services for William B. (Bill) Hays, 64, of 112 North Ada St., Nampa, who died Saturday, April 2, at a Nampa nursing home, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa by the Rev. Gene F. Hipskind, Nampa First Church of the Brethren.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
    He was born Oct. 3, 1918, at Gooding, Idaho, and moved with his family to Nampa where he was reared and educated.  He worked at Falks I.D. Stores in Nampa and Ontario, Ore., until entering the Army in 1942.  He served in the European Theather (sic) and, following his discharge in 1945, returned to Nampa and opened a heavy equipment contracting business, working on dams, farm leveling, and road construction.  He married Cora M. Slusser June 15, 1948, at Winnemucca, Nev.  They made their home in Nampa.  He retired in 1971 because of poor health.  He was a member of the Hi-De-Ho Trailer Club.
    He is survived by his wife of Nampa; his mother, Ethyl Hays, Nampa; two brothers, George arid Richard Hays, both of Nampa: a sister. Betty Woll, San Bernadino, Calif., and several nieces and nephews.
    His father preceded him in death.
    Memorials may be made to the Heart Association, favorite charity, or flowers may be sent.
     Friends may call at Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until services on Wednesday.
