Vern Hamilton Sr.

    Graveside services for William Vern Hamilton Sr., 75, of Wilder, who died Sunday, November 7, 1993, at his home from cancer, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 1993, at the Wilder Cemetery.  Father Oscar Jaramillo, St. Hubert's Catholic Church, Homedale, will officiate under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Homedale.
    Vern was born Jan. 6, 1918, at Wilder, Idaho, a son of Carl and Hazel Briggs Hamilton.  He was raised and educated in several different states.  Vern spent all of his adult life working in construction, operating heavy equipment.  Vern married Suzanne Bentley on February 17, 1967, at Wheaton, Illinois, where they made their home until 1982, at which time they moved to Wilder where they have since resided.
    Vern enjoyed fishing, gardening, working with wood and spending time with his family.  Vern was a member of St. Hubert's Catholic Church, Homedale, and a lifetime member of Local #150, Countryside, Illinois.
    Survivors include his wife, Suzanne, Wilder; a son and daughter-in-law, William Vern and Alice Hamilton Jr., Homedale; a daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Nick Wilks, Wilder; and two grandsons.
     He was preceded in death by his parents.
    Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Homedale.
