Willard Kevan

    Willard Kevan, 95, of Caldwell, died Monday, November 25, 1996, at a Caldwell nursing home. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, November 30, 1996, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 114 E. Elm, Caldwell. Private interment was at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    Mr. Kevan was born August 24, 1901, at Wilson, Kansas, the eldest of eight children, six sons and two daughters born to Samuel C. and Pearl Shipp Kevan.  He was educated through the eighth grade and worked for the railroad while he lived in Kansas.  Willard had lived in Idaho since 1931 and came to Caldwell in 1945.  He worked as a farmer and had picked fruit for a living.  Later in his life, he worked at odd jobs and enjoyed photography and carpentry and electrical work.
    He was a member of Jehovah Witnesses.
    Willard was never married.
    He is survived by a sister, Fern Lancaster of Caldwell; two brothers, Irvin Kevan of Hansen, Idaho, and Merle Kevan of Longmont, Colorado; and many nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, a sister and several nieces and nephews.
