William 'Bill' Hill

    William "Bill" Hill, 78, of Nampa, died Wednesday, May 15, 1996, at a Nampa hospital.  Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 18, at 10 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.  Services under the direction of Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
    Bill was born April 11, 1918, at Port Angeles, Washington, the son of August Edward and Kathleen Powers Hill.  He was raised in Butte, Montana. He joined the Army in 1941 and fought in World War II.  Bill married Juanita Miller, June 9, 1946, in Yuma, Arizona.  They moved to Long Beach, Calif., where he worked for McDonnell Douglas as a planner and retired in 1983. They later moved to the Nampa area where they have lived since.
    Survivors include his wife, Juanita of Nampa; two sons, Bruce Hill of Riverside, Calif., and Michael Hill of Nampa; two daughters, Janice Scott of Allenhurst, Georgia, and Susan Munson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two brothers, Harold Hill of Northridge, and Mel Laurey; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Audrey Crandel.
    Memorials may be sent to MISTI West, Nampa.
