Yvonne Pierson

     Yvonne D. Pierson, 86, of Nampa, died Tuesday, October 13, 1992, at the Nampa hospital.  Vigil Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, October 16, 1992, at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 1992, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Nampa.  Father Alfred Puccinelli, S.M., will be celebrant. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
    Yvonne D. Pierson was born on November 16, 1905, in Jefferson, South Dakota, a daughter of Alex and Laura Bernard Larive.  She was reared and educated in South Dakota.  She married Aaron Pierson on December 24, 1927, in Spearfish, South Dakota.
    They moved to Idaho in 1941 where both Yvonne and her husband worked for Mercy Medical Center.  She retired after 27 years of service.  Mr. Pierson died in 1963.
    She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and a member of the Altar Society.
    She is survived by three sons, Lorel of Nampa, Verne of Graham, Wash., and Roy of Riggins; two daughters, Irma Comstock-Kelly of Los Angeles and Theresa Van Houten of Nampa; three sisters, Pauline Wilson of Meridian, Aline Roberts and Mae Gomez of Vancouver, Wash.; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
    Besides her husband she was preceded in death by a son, Ernest, a daughter, Vera, two brothers, two sisters and a grandson.
    Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel today until 9 p.m. and on Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
    Memorials may be made to a favorite charity or flowers may be sent.
