Albert Knigge

    Services for Albert L. "Roy" Knigge, 84, of Nampa, who died Wednesday, Dec. 31, at home, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
    The Rev. Dale Metzer of the Meridian First United Methodist Church will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
    Mr. Knigge was born Feb. 5, 1902, in Thayer County, Neb., to Chris and Martha Knigge.  He was reared and educated in Alexandria, Neb.  He began to farm in the Alexandria area. He married Edith Eden March 26,1926, in Fairbury, Neb.
    They continued to farm in Nebraska until 1936, when the moved to the Shoshone area and continued to farm.  They also farmed in the Glenns Ferry and Star areas.  In 1960 they moved to Nampa, continuing to farm.  He also owned and operated a cattle and commodities trucking company since 1932.
    His wife died in 1969.
    He was a past member of the Grange in both the Glenns Ferry and Shoshone areas.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
    He is survived by three sons and their wives, Daryl and Lois Knigge of Boise, Dwain and Barbara Knigge of Salt Lake City and Harry and Loraine Knigge of Nampa; a daughter and her husband, Ellen and George Jess of Grand View ; four brothers; a sister; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
    Memorials may be made to a favorite charity or flowers may be sent.
