A. Roland Kuhn

    Services for Alvin Roland Kuhn, 70, of 703 8th Ave. S., Nampa, who died Saturday, Oct. 1, at a Nampa hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Nampa Stake Center, 143 Central Canyon St., with Bishop Roger Kotter of the Nampa Eighth Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints officiating.
    Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.  Services and interment are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
    He was born March 2, 1913, at Neligh, Neb., the son of Jesse Emmett and Esther Lestella Kuhn.  He was reared and educated in Neligh and after his schooling he started farming.  He later moved to Lyman, Wyo., where he continued farming.  He married Gladys A. Erickson on Oct. 14, 1940, in Salt Lake City, Utah.  They then moved to Hagerman, Idaho, where he farmed and ranched.  In 1956 he went to work for the Fuller Brush Company and sold in the McCall area.  In August of 1956 he moved his family to Nampa where they had since made their home.
    He had sold for Fuller Brush in Nampa, Caldwell, Grandview, Meridian, Kuna, Melba and Boise.
    The marriage was solemnized on March 2, 1973, at the Ogden, Utah LDS Temple.
    At the time of his death he was self employed in sales of Fuller Brush and the Watkins Line.
    He was a member of the Nampa Eighth Ward, LDS Church where he had been High Priest Secretary.

    He is survived by his wife of Nampa; three sons, Floyd E. Kuhn, Leslie W. Kuhn and Marlin R. Kuhn, all of Nampa; three daughters, Mrs. Larry (Patsy) Chase, Boise, Mrs. Kirk (Marla) Sanders, Nampa, and Rhonda L. Kuhn, Nampa; six brothers, Alfred and M. Gene, both of Wendell, E. Lawrence, of Pocatello, Donald L. of Gooding, Leonard F. of Twin Falls and Robert I. of Idaho Falls; five sisters, Mrs. Lola Shrader, Ewing, Neb., Mrs. Verna Wehinkel, Neligh, Neb., Mrs. Ruth Brollier, Boise, Mrs. Doris Basterrechea, Gooding, and Mrs. Leota Hulme, Caldwell; his father, Jesse Emmett Kuhn, Shoshone; 17 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his mother, one daughter two sisters and one brother.
    Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel from 6 to 9 tonight; Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to noon.
