Alfred Knotts

    Funeral services for Alfred S. Knotts, 71, of 1910 West Flamingo, Sp. No. 135, Nampa, who died Tuesday at his home, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel with Dr. James O. York, Sr., pastor of the Nampa First Christian Church officiating.  Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
    He was born on March 13, 1910 at Weatherford, Texas to Charles S. and Ida May Knotts.  In 1923 he moved to Los Angeles, Calif., with his parents where he was reared and educated.  He married Reba Mae Ryerson April 18, 1937 at Santa Barbara, Calif.  They lived in Los Angeles where he worked as a truck driver.  In 1971 they moved to Bonanza, Ore., and to Nampa in June 1975.  They were foster parents at the Idaho State School and Hospital from August 1975 to 1978.  He was a member of the Nampa First Christian Church.
    He is survived by his wife of Nampa; two daughters, Mrs. William (Eleanore Mae) Crowther, Nampa, Mrs. John (Linda Marie) Strawhorn, Marysville, Calif.; two brothers, Edward Knotts, Poway, Calif., Charles Knotts, Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Lorraine Impson, Federal Way, Wash., Mrs. Lois Kruger, Los Angeles, Calif.; six grand-children, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.  Pallbearers will be John Strawhorn, Dave Campbell, Ira Turner, Barnnett Ryland, Lee Young and Jesse Walker.
    Memorial contributions may be given to the Mercy Medical Center Home Nursing Care 1512 12th Ave. Road, Nampa, 83651 or flowers may be sent.
