Services for
Beulah M. Lownsdale, 76, of 227 Owyhee Ave., Nampa, who died
Sunday, Nov. 27, in a Nampa hospital, will be conducted at 2
p.m. Wednesday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa, with Dr.
John W. Wallace, pastor of the Nampa United Presbyterian
Church, officiating. Interment
will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial
Gardens.
She was born July
15, 1907, at Ashland, Neb.
In 1918, she moved with her family to
Nampa
where she was reared and educated.
She was married to
Robert P. Lownsdale on March 15, 1953, at Nampa where they made their home.
He died in April of
1973. She worked at
Western Union for many years, retiring in 1963.
She was a member of
the Nampa Elks Ladies 1389, the Nampa Chapter 30, Order of
Eastern Star, and the Nampa Woman's Century Club.
She is survived
by one daughter, Mr. Eldon (Marva Dene) Smith, Nampa; one
step-daughter, Jeanne Nelson, Sunnyside, Wash.; one
step-son, Bob Lownsdale, Newbury Park, Calif.; three
brothers, Jesse Riggs, Stockton, Calif., Glenn Riggs,
Mountain Home, and Dwight Riggs, Arcadia, Calif.; 11
grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded
in death by her parents and five brothers.
Friends may call
at the Alsip Funeral Chapel Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
