Dovie Lee

    Graveside services for Dovie Mae Lee, 77, of Caldwell, who died Sunday, March 3, 1996, at a Caldwell nursing home, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 1996, at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell. Reverend Noble Hunt of the Midway Bible Missionary Church, Caldwell, will officiate, under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.  Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
    Mrs. Lee was born July 28, 1918, at Wickes, Arkansas, a daughter of Rufus C. and Dora E. Thacker Miller. She was reared and educated in Arkansas. Dovie married Charles D. Lee on April 7, 1934, in Arkansas.  In 1948 they moved to Nampa and to Caldwell in 1974.  She worked as a cook for the Nampa Christian High School for several years.  She also worked for the State of Idaho as a home health care provider.
    Dovie enjoyed fishing, gardening and being a homemaker.
    She attended the Midway Bible Missionary Church, Caldwell.
    Survivors include three sons, Sherman E. and his wife Jeannett of Cascade, Butch of Reno, Nevada, and Vernon T. and his wife Sandy of Nampa; two daughters, Charless and her husband Gary Long of Issaquah, Washington, and Carolyn Martell of Caldwell, Idaho; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jimmy Charles Eldon Lee; three brothers, Ernest Lee Miller, Leonard Miller and Otis H. Miller; a grandson, Jimmy E. Lee.
