Ellen I. Layher

    CALDWELL - Servites for Ellen Irene Layher, 62, Caldwell Route 4, who died Sunday at her home, will be conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Dakan Funeral Chapel by the Rev. James McMillan of the Deer Flat Free Methodist Church.
    Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
    She was born on June 8, 1912, in Belgrade, Neb., a daughter of John and Mabel Fox, and was reared at Big Springs, Neb.  She taught school for several years, and married Glenn R. Layher on June 18, 1930, in Julesburg, Colo.  The family came to Caldwell in 1938.
     She was a member of the Deer Flat Free Methodist Church, the Triple L. Community Club, was a former vice president of the West Canyon Cancer Society and was active in both the state arid local Parent-Teacher Associations.
    Surviving are her husband, of Caldwell: a son, Donald, Caldwell: a daughter, Lois Padour, Caldwell; a son-in-law, Jim Roeser, Caldwell; two sisters, Mildred Skinner, Nampa, and Margaret Lawrence, Caldwell: a brother, Lewis B. Fox, Big Springs, five grandsons and four grand-daughters.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lola Roeser.
