Florence Kriley

    Florence Emma Marie Kriley, 96, of Idaho Falls, died Friday, June 10, 1994, at the home of her granddaughter, Lynda Arave, of natural causes.
    Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 8, at the Melba Cemetery.  The Rev. Evert Roberts will officiate.
    Florence was born August 4, 1897, at Ward, Colo., a daughter of Harry Matthew and Johanna Katherine Hansen Bartle.  She attended Ward public school in Nederland, Colo., to the middle of the eighth grade, when she quit to take care of her brothers while her mother nursed her sick grandmother.
    She married Odin C. Nelson on Jan. 11, 1915.  He died in 1923.  She then married Frank Howard Berhman on October 14, 1928.  He died in 1948.  She then married Carl Jacob Kriley on September 4, 1950.  He died March 15, 1965.
    Florence worked as a telephone operator at Denver in the early 1900s.  She then moved to Salmon, where she worked as a grocery store clerk for many years. She ran a dude ranch with her last husband, and was a cook for many years until they sold the ranch.
    She lived in Nampa with her daughter, Florence Huff, until 1989, when she moved to Idaho Falls to live with her granddaughter.
    Florence was a Christian. She enjoyed reading, rock collecting, sewing, crocheting and cooking.
    Survivors include three stepchildren, Carl J. Kriley of, Lac La Hache, British Columbia, Canada, Paul Kriley of Imnaha, Ore., and Mildred Williams of Allen, Texas; three grandchildren, Lynda Arave of Idaho Falls, Larry Garner of Boise and Delrie Ransom of West Lafayette, Ind.; six step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.  
    She was preceded death in by two brothers, two daughters, Rae Gridley and Florence Huff and a stepson.
